Really yummy breakfast sandwiches that are reasonably priced and served on tasty bagels. Highly recommend.

Love coming to the Grainery with my husband, our Saturday morning getaway! I never knew that this place was here. I will be spreading the word!!

As a native of Ithaca and a frequent customer at Ithaca Bakery it was extremely exciting to stumble upon this place! The food is excellent, environment is inviting, and the owner was extremely talkative and informative. Little did I know she actually went to Ithaca Bakery to learn to make bagels! Great spot definitely recommend!

This review is only for the coffee.
Spending the weekend nearby and wanted a latte. We have eaten at the grainery before and enjoyed it. This time was different.
First off the lady behind the counter was new and not familiar with the espresso machine, so another lady stepped in (not a problem as we were in no rush and understood). We had asked for two small lattes, one being caramel. They did not have any caramel, but made offerings of other flavors, ahhh, no thanks, I will just use sugar (again, no big deal). The lady started the use the machine and had to maintain it before making the lattes (which is a sign that no-one cleaned the machine recently). We were handed the lattes which were average, and the lady who stepped in said don't worry about the cost, wow was not expecting that, so I leave a large tip in the jar.
Next day another lady behind the counter seemed a little confused when we ordered the lattes, but made two, and another large tip in the jar. So excited we go outside to one of the two small tables in front (very nice morning), open the top to add some sugar, and there was NO froth and the lattes were hardly warm. My husband takes them back in, and another young man was behind the counter, he took them back to the other lady and she told him to just put them in the microwave (UMMMMM NOOOOOO). My husband refused to just have them reheated and asked if they would make new cups. OK, so the guy proceeds to make two more lattes, and hands the cups to my husband, and they were basically stained water, one of the lattes had froth, the other not, and they guy tells my husband "the frother is broken". Again I said no take them back, they refunded his money.
OK - SO - if you have an espresso machine AND advertise espressos, lattes, and cappuccino - you NEED to properly train your employees how to use this machine.
Went without coffee that day and had to drive back to Virginia. Maybe that explains my headache:)
